Is this love real because he said he loved me?

Is it real because he said he would be faithful to me?

Is it real because he said he would never hurt me?

Is it real because he said he would always be there for me?

He said he would be my knight in shining armor,

He said he would be a cloak of protection,

He said our love will never fail,

Our love will make it through rain and hail.

As our love continued,

We did go through rain and hail,

Through lies and deceit,

But, our love remained concrete.

With our faith combined,

Our love intertwined.
